Home time

The time has come, and we are on our way home.  We are both super excited to see everyone, and cant wait to get home.  Not that we really really want to leave Africa, but we are ready to come home.  I think we are in a good place, as in, we are not feeling "get me outta here" like we did in Egypt (after only 4 hours).  Speaking of Egypt, we will be in that particular country quite soon...

This is our travel itinerary for going back home.  Just to give you all a chuckle, at someone else's misfortune.

We leave Uganda Aug 13th at 4:30 AM.  Thats right, four thirty in the morning, on Friday the thirteenth.  Great start...

We get to Cairo at 8:15AM and leave at 5PM.  This gives me 9 hours in my favorite city to try and get my lost bag back.  Im am not joking, I think it is still there, and i am gonna get it back.  I think that the way the clerk will describe me to the baggage manager is "an irate customer demanding that he see the warehouse..."

We then arrive in London at 9:00PM and leave at 4:15PM How is that possable you ask?  Well, we are leaving at 4:15PM THE NEXT DAY.  So, we get to spend a night in, well, at least I like London, but I dont really care for the Airports....

Finally, we get to Calgary at 6:35PM on the 14th

PS: We totally look forward to seeing everyone, dont feel like you need to come to the airport, we will be preposterously, outrageously, astonishingly tired, and not so much fun, but I guarantee you that Sarah will have enough energy to run and scream and jump up and down when she sees you.  When she saw me for the first time after only 3 weeks, she punched me in the eye.  She said she was just trying to hug me, but im not convinced.  See you all very soon!!!

  2. Hi Sarah (and Stu)! Just found your blog (through Facebook). Awesome to see what you have been up to in Uganda (so many familiar photos). Hope your journey home went well and you are adjusting back to life in Alberta. God bless Jodi Idema
