First story. The best form of transport to get around is a Boda Boda, or a motorcycle taxi. Typically a ride will cost 2 dollars. Whenever you ask them if they know where a certain place is, they say yes yes. So of course once we negotiate a price first, we get on, and go. Well, one particular day, the man did not know where the restaraunt was. We got a little lost, drove around, asked some people, and showed up 5 minutes later. Once we got off, the man asked for more money, because he had to drive further. This is normal, so we payed a little more. Only in Africa do you have to pay more for inconvenience.
The next story comes from Asia. In Cambodia it is called the “Cambodian Tattoo” Well, Sarah just got an “Africa tattoo” This free tattoo is from the exhaust pipe of a Boda Boda. It is healing well, and hurt a lot less that Sarah’s “deep skin exfoliation” she got on her feet a few years ago. I guess this is progress.
